There is no workaround or software update that will fix it for most people. As far as we can tell this is just how the mouse is. I have talked to many people and customer support many times. (I'm on a mac book pro using the USB receiver) When i use the original MX master on the same computer i have no issues and i can scroll up and down really quickly and it tracks my scroll super accurately. Is it worth it to try to get a replacement MX master 3 or should i return it? Is this just a side effect of this new magnetic scrolling mechanism? or do i have a defective unit? it doesn't happen all the time but its frequent enough where there's no way i could use this mouse full time. It doesn't track the scroll accurately and it just starts jumping back and forth. Its also super apparent when you scroll up and down quickly. I would say around 3-5% of the time i scroll the wheel, nothing happens and i have to scroll again to get it to pick up. It seems the Mx master 3 is way less accurate at tracking my scrolling than the original MX master. I just bought an MX Master 3 to replace my original MX Master and i'm having issues with scrolling.
